Rooms that look considered, not expensive.
There is an enormous amount of furniture available and very little honest guidance about which of it is any good. That is the gap this site is for.
What we do
We pick a specific question — the kind you would actually type into a search box — and answer it properly. What sofa suits a narrow room. Whether a veneer dining table is a compromise worth making. Which dimensions matter and which are marketing.
The work is comparison: reading published specifications, materials, construction and dimensions across a category, and reporting what separates the good from the merely photogenic.
What we don't do
- We don't pretend to have tested things we haven't. Every recommendation carries a line saying what it is based on.
- We don't publish prices. Furniture pricing moves weekly. A number typed into a page in March is a lie by June, so we send you to the live listing instead.
- We don't reproduce star ratings or customer reviews. Those belong to the retailer, and an aggregate score is a poor substitute for knowing why something is good.
- We don't take payment for placement. No manufacturer can buy a spot in a guide.
How we're funded
Through affiliate commissions from Amazon, disclosed on every page that carries a link and explained in full on our affiliate disclosure page. It costs you nothing extra and it is the only thing keeping the lights on here.
