How this site makes money
Elegant Furniture Store participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
When you click a link on this site and buy something on Amazon, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.
Where you will see disclosures
We do not rely on this page to tell you about our links, because a page you have to go looking for is not a disclosure. Instead:
- Every guide that contains affiliate links opens with a disclosure box, in normal reading text, above the content — so you see it before you reach a single link.
- Every individual link is marked (paid link) next to the link itself.
How this affects our recommendations
Commission rates on furniture are low and roughly uniform across the category, so there is no meaningful incentive for us to push one piece over another. We say this plainly because it is checkable: if a guide ever recommends something that does not fit its own stated criteria, the guide is wrong and we would like to know.
What we do not do: we do not accept payment from manufacturers to be included, we do not show prices (they change constantly and a stale number is worse than none), and we do not reproduce Amazon customer ratings or reviews.
What we have and have not tested
Our picks are chosen by comparing published specifications, materials and dimensions. We have not tested every piece in person, and we say so on each recommendation. Each recommendation states its own basis, in the How we chose line beneath it.
Other programs
Amazon Associates is currently the only affiliate program this site participates in. If that changes, this page will change with it, and the per-page disclosures will name the relationship.
